ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Pamela. I'm a mum of four, including twins, and a qualified midwife.I set up 'The Riviera Sitter' after moving to Spain and realising how hard it can be to find an experienced, competent babysitter. I didn't want a local teenager or faceless agency to look after my kids - with 4 of them ranging from baby to preteen, I needed someone a level up who I could really trust! Nobody wants to play guessing games or take risks when it comes to their kids, but that means for many holidaymakers or expats without local family/friends there aren't many options for a bit of childfree time.That's why I decided to fill that gap myself. I'm still in the thick of parenting my children (aged from toddler to teen), and as a qualified midwife as well, I have buckets of experience with children of all ages! There's not much that I haven't had to deal with over the years and I'm now pretty much unfazed by anything kids can throw at me. I love children at all ages and enjoy getting to know them. I come prepared with jigsaws, colouring, games and stories and make sure they're entertained before bedtime. I'm also happy to help with homework and dinnertime so you don't have to rush through it before going out!I take the privilege of working with your kids very seriously. My priority is always to make sure that you're 100% comfortable leaving your little ones with me, and that your children feel secure and happy having me around.I welcome any and all questions - if you're nervous about using a sitter, ask away! I'm also fully police checked, insured, first aid trained and properly registered as a sole trader - because these are boring but important things that matter when you're looking for someone you can trust.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN YOU LOOK AFTER MORE THAN THREE CHILDREN?
Yes, depending on ages and requirements I am happy to babysit for larger families or groups - I would always discuss this before accepting a job.DO YOU BABYSIT NEWBORNS AND YOUNG BABIES?
Yes, I am happy to look after small babies, and will follow any feeding/sleep routine you provide.WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS UNWELL?
If your child is unwell prior to your booking, please contact me to cancel. If your child becomes unwell during the booking, I will contact you and ensure they receive any medical attention that's required until your return.CAN YOU TAKE THE CHILDREN OUT OR TO THE POOL?
I stay within the home or accommodation with the children. If there is an enclosed garden or play area at the property I am happy to take them outside to play.
Unfortunately I don't take children to the pool, I'm not a qualified lifeguard and do not know the swimming capabilities of all children.CAN YOU COLLECT OR TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN?
I'm not insured to transport children in my vehicle.DO YOU OFFER CRECHE FACILITIES FOR WEDDINGS/EVENTS?
Yes. I can offer childcare for a group of children at an event, including activities and games. Please contact me to discuss.WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?
My first language is English, but I speak conversational Spanish and a little French.
